We have tried and tested many products and have found the following to be the best in the industry for durability and effect.
We promote and support products that we know and truly believe to be the best. Choose between Matt, Satin, or Gloss.
We use Bona and Duraseal stains (SEE BELOW) which are renowned for their quality and durability.
Sometimes customers ask us to match stains with a staircase or a piece of furniture. This is not an easy task.
However, we always perform color stain tests on the wood of the floor. The client selects a few stains and we put them directly on their floor,
so they can see how it will look with their specific type of wood. Once they find a color they are happy with, we then stain the entire floor with it.
Floors do tend to change color slightly over time due to sunlight, wear, and oxidization.
We prefer water based lattexes over oils for the following reasons: Moidern day latexes are superior to oils in virtually every way except glossiness.
In 2012, most of the oils that were on the market became banned, such as Crystal, because they were deemed too toxic.
So these oils were reformulated to match helath reuirements, but in the process became inferior products to their previous formulations.
Latexes are:

Bona floor stains come in various shades and colors, allowing you to choose the one that best suits your preferences and complements your existing decor. Some popular stain colors offered by Bona include:
Duraseal is a well-known brand that offers a range of wood stain products. Duraseal stains are popular among homeowners, contractors, and professionals
in the flooring industry for their high-quality and durability. These stains are primarily designed for use on hardwood floors,
but they can also be used on other wood surfaces such as furniture, cabinets, and trim.
Duraseal stains are available in a variety of colors, allowing you to achieve different finishes and shades on your wood surfaces.
Some common color options include traditional wood tones like natural, golden oak, provincial, and dark walnut, as well as more contemporary options
like ebony, gray, and white.
One of the notable features of Duraseal stains is their fast-drying formula, which is ideal for projects that require quick turnaround times.
They are also known for their excellent color clarity, which means that the natural beauty and grain of the wood are enhanced rather than obscured by the stain.
When applying Duraseal stains, it is important to prepare the wood surface properly by sanding it and ensuring it is clean and free from dust.
The stain can be applied using a brush, cloth, or applicator pad, and it is recommended to work in small sections to ensure even coverage.
It's also a good idea to wipe off any excess stain after a few minutes to prevent uneven drying and blotching.
After the stain has dried, it is essential to apply a protective finish to seal and protect the stained wood. This step helps enhance the durability
of the stain and provides a long-lasting finish.
